BOARDING OPTIONS

We believe every horse deserves individualized care and we are blessed to be able to offer a variety of boarding options to accommodate your horse's unique needs.  You can choose between multiple different styles of stalls, private paddocks, or group pasture.  We now offer even more boarding flexibility...Self-Care, Partial Care and Full Care so we can cater to everyone's needs.

Our Philosophy of Care

What distinguishes RISING ABOVE EQUINE from other boarding barns?  We are proudly committed to giving your horse the BEST CARE POSSIBLE!  Maybe you hear that a lot, but here's what that means to us:

  • SELF-CARE OPTION:  We have recently added the self-care option knowing that some love to come to the barn and care for their horse themselves.  They also like to have the flexibility in their feeding program.  We have strict self-care policies in place to ensure that each and every horse on the property is cared for properly and thrives under the owner's care.  Self-Care includes a stall or paddock and turnout space only.  The horse owner is responsible for everything else (twice a day feeding, turnout, stall care, etc). Each self-care boarder has a designated space to store hay/feed and have a personal storage locker assigned to them for tack and other personal items.  And to make it even more convenient, we provide feed, hay and shavings for purchase so no need to run to the feed store before coming out.

  • PARTIAL/FULL CARE OPTIONS.  We have added a Partial Care option for those that want to have more control of their horse's care, but they cannot commit to coming to the barn twice a day.  We feed the owners feed/hay in the morning and turn them out and the owner feeds, cleans stall and brings horse in.   We do this for a few reasons; one, we want to make sure that all horses are cared for in a consistent manner and stay as healthy as possible and two; we are firm believers that owners need to be able to come to the barn and enjoy their horse.  We don't do the "personal care" of each horse though because that is how horse owners build trust and a strong bond with their animal.

Providing the best care also means that:

  • We are constantly seeking improvement and further education for us and others.

  • We believe consistency and stability earns trust that we'll follow through with what we say.

  • We are flexible and willing to change if something isn't working for your horse.

  • We are committed to keeping rates reasonable and finding similar feed options that give your horse what it needs but be more cost effective as feed and hay prices continue to rise.

  • We are honest and transparent with our 25+ years of experience and knowledge.

  • We respect your knowledge and experience with your horse as well.

  • We provide safe and secure pipe fencing all around the property.

BOX STALLS WITH RUNS

Almost all of our stall boarding options include a spacious, attached outdoor run. Stalled horses enjoy a comfortable indoor space, as well as free access to the outdoors and the freedom to socialize with neighboring horses. Stall horses also enjoy plenty of individual turnout.  Box stalls are all a little different so please call for the most up-to-date availability information.

BREEZY ALLEY BARN

Breezy Alley is a nice, open-air barn that provides the best of both worlds...individual stalls with plenty of cover during inclement weather but each stall has an open attached pen to enjoy the sun and their pasture mates.  And, as it's name implies, the breeze that runs through this barn keeps it cooler in these hot Texas summers. Depending on preference and the horse, daily turnout can be pasture time or individual paddocks.  This barn is the most requested space so please call for availability.

PRIVATE PADDOCKS

All private outdoor paddocks consist of a large outdoor space enough to accommodate families of two horses.  Each space has 1 open front shelter that is large enough for a couple horses.  These paddocks offer extra room for your horse to move and stretch, while being a budget friendly private boarding option.  Private paddocks can be self or partial care.

SHARED PASTURES

Pasture horses spend their days and nights enjoying large outdoor spaces with their friends.  We have a large pasture with tank that holds up to 10 geldings only.  We also have a mixed pasture that is attached to Breezy Alley Barn.  Pasture horses must be able to be social with other horses to keep everyone involved in a positive, safe environment.  For the safety of all, no back shoes are allowed in group pasture setting.  Shared pastures have open front sheds to share.  Pasture boarding is FULL CARE ONLY at this time.
