This Is Us - The Janes Family
A horse can change a life!
The Janes family has spent their lives taking care of animals. From rescuing a few dozen dogs, to breeding and owning dog boarding facilities and grooming businesses all the while also being involved in the horse industry for 25 years. It all started when the Janes girls were 5 and 8 years old with small play days, Friday night youth barrel races and 4-H shows and both girls sharing one feisty, red Welsh Pony named Sugar. They began boarding at a facility, taking riding lessons and learning the ropes. They couldn't have a horse without knowing and being involved in every aspect of ownership...the good, the bad and the ugly. Over the years, more and more horses called their farm in Lorena, Texas "home." As the girls grew up and became more experienced riders, they began to enjoy breeding, western pleasure and ultimately, professional rodeo. The Janes' are ready to be a part of Salado and the surrounding horse community to help get them to the next level by providing an amazing facility for everyone of every level to enjoy and make lifelong friends.
Brittany, the on-site manager and oldest Janes daughter, has always had a special way with horses. She started young with 4-H and FFA and has made it all the way to earning her WPRA card and having many successes over the years. She specializes in performance horses, but devotes her time to the overall care, nutrition and well being of all horses. She has a soft spot for horses that are less fortunate and loves to bring them back to a healthy lifestyle and find them the perfect forever home. Brittany offers private or semi-private lessons for levels from beginner through seasoned riders. Lessons range from basic beginner riding to the experienced. She also specializes in training. She can do ground work, start young horses, tune-ups, diagnose/fix trouble behaviors or get them started on the barrel pattern. Brittany has been trained in Equine Massage and has an Equine Massage Therapy Certification.
